Depending on the position of the teeth to be replaced and your dental health, Dr. Schaffer will determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants. You must be in overall good health, with healthy gums and bone structure in order to receive the dental implant.

After an initial implant dentistry consultation with Dr. Schaffer, if he decides that implants are a good choice for you, he will schedule the first appointment, during which the anchor or anchors will be implanted.

After your gums have had several weeks to heal, fittings will be taken for the dental implant. This may take more than one appointment. When the dental implants are ready, replacement teeth will be attached to the implant.

Once healed, your dental implants will look and function just like your natural teeth.
