Invisalign

Crooked teeth can often be a hindrance to an award-winning smile, but a mouth full of metal braces may not sound much more appealing. Luckily, there is a way to straighten out your teeth without braces. Invisalign is a product that does the same work metal braces do, but because they are made out of a clear plastic, they are nearly imperceptible by others.

If you decide Invisalign is for you, Dr. Schaffer and Dr. Stangl will have molds made of your teeth to create the clear aligners that will be worn. Every two weeks you will receive a new aligner that has been formed to slowly move and straighten your teeth.

Most Invisalign patients only need to wear their aligners for about one year, as opposed to the traditional two years that metal braces take to straighten out your teeth. Other advantages of Invisalign are:

  • They are made from smooth plastic they don't scratch your gums or cheeks
  • The aligners are removable to allow you to eat foods and brush your teeth
  • There is less discomfort than traditional braces

Invisalign is a quick and visually imperceptive way of getting the results you want for a beautiful smile. We would love to talk with you individually to help you achieve the stunning smile you’ve always dreamed of.

If you live in the Boulder or Denver Metro area and are interested in learning more about Invisalign, please contact Dr. Joel Schaffer or Dr. Dave Stangl to make an appointment.

Features of an Award-Winning Smile

Smiling at someone is often the best way to make a friendly first impression. A smile can reveal so much about your personality to those around you. An award-winning smile is one that projects confidence and style. There are many ways to achieve such a smile and Dr. Schaffer would love to help you.

If your smile is affected by chips cracks or gaps, then porcelain veneers are a great option to help update your smile. Porcelain veneers can easily cover up gaps or chips in your teeth. Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that illuminate your smile and smooth out any inconsistencies. They look like real teeth and can help correct a variety of aesthetic problems.

Having beautiful white teeth is another feature of a beautiful smile. Over the years, the foods and beverages you consume can stain your teeth, making them yellow or brown. Our tooth whitening process at Dr. Schaffer's office can help to remove those stains, making your teeth shine brilliantly.

Crowns, bridges and implants are other options that can help to replace missing teeth, giving you that full, complete, and beautiful smile that you’ve always dreamed about.

If you live in the Boulder or Denver Metro area and are interested in learning more about achieving a brilliant, beautiful smile, please contact Dr. Schaffer's office to set up an appointment.

The Advantages of Dental Implants

If you are missing one or more of your teeth are looking for a more permanent solution, then dental implants may be just for you. Dental implants provide a strong, lasting fix to those gaps in your smile.

Dental implants are designed to look like and replace any missing teeth in your mouth. They are implanted surgically and eventually fuse with your jawbone, creating an extremely strong and stable replacement that is unlikely to ever fall out. Unlike crowns or bridges, dental implants do not require the support of the surrounding teeth because they are anchored individually into your jaw.

Dr. Schaffer will work with you personally to determine if dental implants are a good choice for you. Generally, you must be in good overall health, as well as have healthy gums and jaw to support the anchors for the dental implants. Because it is a surgical procedure, the implants may take longer to heal than other procedures, however the end results will look and function just like your natural teeth.

If you live in the Boulder or Denver Metro area and are interested in learning more about dental implants, please contact Dr. Schaffer to schedule an appointment.
