I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived in Cedarburg, Wisconsin through High School. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergrad and graduated in Zoology. Since my father was an orthodontist, I had always thought about pursuing dental school.So after undergrad I enrolled in dental school at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
During dental school I was able to spend six months working in Boulder, Colorado with Dr. Joel Schaffer, three months working in Bangor, Maine with Dr. David Drohan, and three weeks working in various mountain villages in Ecuador, on top of working with numerous faculty members at the dental school.
I had many good experiences throughout school and considered several different locations to practice dentistry. However, my desire to move to Boulder and work with Dr. Schaffer was always much stronger than any of the other options. I have been coming to Boulder at least once a year since my junior year of high school. I have always been drawn to the outdoor lifestyle; especially the skiing, biking and camping that Colorado has to offer. On top of that, Dr. Schaffer is one of the best dentists I have worked with and I am really looking forward to working with him and his great team.
