The Advantages of Dental Implants
If you are missing one or more of your teeth are looking for a more permanent solution, then dental implants may be just for you. Dental implants provide a strong, lasting fix to those gaps in your smile.
Dental implants are designed to look like and replace any missing teeth in your mouth. They are implanted surgically and eventually fuse with your jawbone, creating an extremely strong and stable replacement that is unlikely to ever fall out. Unlike crowns or bridges, dental implants do not require the support of the surrounding teeth because they are anchored individually into your jaw.
Dr. Schaffer will work with you personally to determine if dental implants are a good choice for you. Generally, you must be in good overall health, as well as have healthy gums and jaw to support the anchors for the dental implants. Because it is a surgical procedure, the implants may take longer to heal than other procedures, however the end results will look and function just like your natural teeth.
